Ruth Brophy

Ruth has had a most unusual business career in Ireland and Australia.
Broadcasting was her first career, where as a teenager, she presented her own radio show ‘As Gaeilge’. She then progressed through local radio stations in Limerick, Mallow, Cork and Dublin, as a newsreader, morning show host, current affairs producer, and unusually, as a reader of obituaries !
Motherhood gave Ruth the opportunity to change careers and she worked for five years as a riding instructor.
Relocation to Australia saw another change where Ruth worked as a lingerie consultant, and received many awards for sales excellence.
On returning to Ireland, Ruth switched to horticulture and is now the proud owner of a large polytunnel in which she grows a large selection of organic vegetables.
Her varied career, allied to her experiences as a mother have given Ruth a different outlook on life.
With a comprehensive knowledge of Word and Excel, Ruth provides administrative support to the Owls!
